Our Story

Authentic Spanish Charcuteria

Just like its Barcelona namesake, La Boqueria is a collection of smallgoods dedicated to authenticity, prime ingredients and of course, flavour. But unlike the iconic La Rambla market, this La Boqueria has been created right here in Sydney, Australia.

Charcuteria is considered a national treasure in Spain: chorizo, fuet and salchichon salamis are beloved products that Spaniards eat every day.

In Australia 25 years ago, it was hard to find a decent chorizo, this is when proud Catalan Emile Gomez decided to change that and La Boqueria was born. From the early days of producing only chorizo, we now have a full range of award-winning products for you to enjoy.

Our recipes are created from our close relationships with the Spanish custodians of the embutido craft. Expert butchers and time-honoured producers who have shared their knowledge and passion with us.

We combine premium Australian pork with authentic Spanish spices and traditional curing methods. Producing smallgoods that set the benchmark for quality and flavour in Australia.
